【Beginning】
Ali Baba located the magic lamp at the chamber of commerce, but his struggle with the staff stopped him from stealing the lamp in time, and he could only watch as an old man bought the lamp. Ali Baba followed the old man and was surprised to see him heading toward the castle. The lamp was given to the emperor as a gift!
Ali Baba approached the castle and observed the guards while estimating the height of the castle walls. He finally found the right moment to sneak into the castle, but it was much more enormous than Ali Baba had anticipated. Hence, he used a lot of time navigating his way, but he was spotted in the process.
Left with no other options, he hurriedly escaped from the castle. However, the castle became more sternly secured since that day, leaving Ali Baba with no more attempts to steal the lamp again. Just as the frustrated Ali Baba wondered what to do, the emperor openly wanted to recruit a tailor who could design a new clothing for him...
- Ali Baba: Ha! Fate is helping me!
After re-confirming the tailor recruitment notice on the wall, Ali Baba could not hold back his excitement and yelled with joy. He even blew a kiss to the sky as a token of gratitude. He devised an entire scheme in his mind and was prepared to demonstrate his tailoring skills to the emperor if he was asked to do so. However, he had never thought that His Majesty would decide to hire him with only a glance. Ali Baba could not help but feel delighted to see his plan going so smoothly.
After becoming the emperor’s tailor, Ali Baba was always monitored by someone sent under Prince William’s command to ensure he could finish his product before the emperor’s parade. Ali Baba took a quick glance around the fabric quarter — there were only a door, a bed, a loom and a small and narrow window. He calmly said to the prince:
- Ali Baba: Hm...You have all the tools I need. Not bad!
- Ali Baba: From now on, do not disturb me, or I won’t be able to create a piece of clothing that the emperor will be content with!
All who were present left the room and locked the door. Ali Baba then carefully walked to the window and sneaked through it to the outside...
【Before Battles】
- Ali Baba: Humph! You really think that a little window can trap me inside? You’re underestimating me, Ali Baba!
- Ali Baba: OK...So...where is my cute little lamp?
【After Battles】
- Ali Baba: ‘There are so many rooms here...where exactly is my magic lamp?’
【End】
Since then, Ali Baba would sneak into the castle during work hours, using the title of tailor as an excuse to roam around. However, in this enormous castle, he could not locate the magic lamp even after weeks of searching...During one of his attempts to locate the lamp, he almost ran into the emperor. However, he was lucky enough to overhear the emperor was on his way to check his new clothing, so he hurried back to the fabric quarter and pretended to be working.
The quarter’s door opened and the emperor entered with his subordinates. They all observed the working Ali Baba when they realized that the loom had no thread. The emperor’s subordinates admonished Ali Baba, thinking that he was a fraud and had no knowledge of tailoring at all.
To avoid the emperor’s suspicion, Ali Baba claimed that the fabric was specially made to only be visible to the wise. Although Ali Baba also thought this excuse was ridiculous, the emperor surprisingly complimented him while clapping:
- Louis the Emperor: Beautiful! This design is beautiful!
Everyone present was benumbed by the emperor’s reaction; even Ali Baba did not know how to respond, but he took a deep breath and calmed himself down before pretending to be able to see the fabric too. He walked to the emperor and introduced his product:
- Ali Baba: Ahem. Marvelous, Your Majesty! This pattern was specially designed, and the sash here...
- Louis the Emperor: It would be even better if you could add some feathers and roses on it.
Ali Baba nodded as acknowledgement before the emperor smiled with content. Before the emperor left, he also ordered to postpone his parade for a week. Ali Baba could not help but lopsidedly smiled, feeling proud of his wits, but he did not notice the emperor strangely looking at him...
