【Beginning】
The Xian in the realm of Humans created crystals to help the individuals from Ancient China in finding the Runestones. Lin Yue-Ru, Li Hsiao-Yao, Zhao Ling-Er and Li Yi-Ru set out to Afire Volcano together. Wanting to stay with her mother, Li Yi-Ru dragged Zhao Ling-Er away during their journey; Lin Yue-Ru chased after them immediately; yet, the two had already disappeared from sight, and Yue-Ru was also lost inside the forest.
- Lin Yue-Ru: Hm? Where am I?
Lin Yue-Ru climbed up a hill and scanned around. She saw smoke not far away and therefore, headed to the spot, hopefully asking for directions from someone. There was a simple wood house, with its door and windows tightly shut. Yue-Ru knocked on the door. It was not until a long while did the door open a tiny gap. A maiden asked nervously while hiding behind the door:
- Maiden: Who are you?
- Lin Yue-Ru: I am just a traveler. Have you ever seen —
Suddenly, the maiden yanked open the door. She held Yue-Ru’s hand, anxiety palpable:
- Maiden: Have you seen Tom?
- Lin Yue-Ru: Tom?
- Maiden: He went out for a hunt this morning, but he’s not back yet! Can you help me find him?
Seeing the maiden being so anxious, Yue-Ru could only agree to her request, and investigated the place the maiden had told her. In the forest, Yue-Ru followed a trace she discovered, and found a man on a tree, which wolves surrounded.
【Before Battles】
- Lin Yue-Ru: Are you Tom?
- Tom: Help!
【End】
Lin Yue-Ru steadied the injured Tom by his arm, and returned to the wood house. Tom embraced the maiden passionately; Yue-Ru could only wait for them to settle their emotions before asking her questions.
- Lin Yue-Ru: Why are you guys living in a secluded place like this?
- Maiden: I used to live in Holylight City, and was a maid of a noble family. But my master opposed my marriage with Tom...
- Tom: So we eloped and came here. Although it is dangerous here, at least no one will attempt to separate us.
- Lin Yue-Ru: But you were almost bitten to death by the wolves. Your wife was about to become a widow.
- Tom: Miss, aren’t you going to tell on us?
- Lin Yue-Ru: You are willing to shoulder your responsibility as a husband, and your wife is willing to stay by your side.
- Lin Yue-Ru: As long as it is so, I don’t think there is a need for me to tell anyone about your whereabouts.
Lin Yue-Ru slipped off a piece of jewelry, and handed it to the couple.
- Lin Yue-Ru: Before death comes and separates you two, you’d better find a safe place to live.
- Lin Yue-Ru: Although I’m not sure how much this worths in this world, it should help the two of you!
- Tom: We have just met you. How could we take it?
- Lin Yue-Ru: No worries. My companions and I got separated in the forest, and I need your... Nothing, nevermind.
Seeing the injuries on Tom, Yue-Ru swallowed her words. She asked for some water, and bade the two farewell.
- Lin Yue-Ru: Eloping maid... That reminds me quite a story.
