【Beginning】
Achilles was the hope for all, to them he was the god of war who embodied victory. He grew arrogant for that he had never experienced failure. He was so overweening that he took no one seriously, not even the King or the Gods.
One day, a priest claimed to be sent by Apollo the God of Sun had come to the palace. Her visit had entirely changed Achilles’ life, as well as the destiny of the country.
As the King ordered, a maiden wrapped in a hooded cloak entered following the Royal Guards and walked to the King. She bowed before the King as she pulled off the hood. The King also gracefully welcomed her. The King’s behavior stung Achilles, he was indignant that the King honored the prophet of the weaker sex so much.
- Cassandra: On behalf of Apollo, the God of the Sun,
- Cassandra, Cursed Prophet: I’m here to make a prophecy for the country.
- Achilles: Humph! The so-called prophecy is just a con!
Cassandra went to Achilles. As their eyes met, Cassandra’s glance became reproachful. Surrounded by glimmers of blue light, she pointed her finger at Achilles.
As the light faded, Cassandra had already vanished. Everyone in the palace were distressed by her prophecy, except Achilles...
The whole country was worrying about the prophecy, and the King was wrapped up in the prophet's words so much that he could neither sleep nor eat well. Soon after, the country was invaded by Demons, who were so strong that most soldiers were no match for them. The King therefore sent Achilles’ brigade to the battlefield. When Achille set off, everyone said, “We are doomed.”
【Before Battles】
【End】
Victory could not be determined as Achilles’ brigade and the Demons matched the other in strength. The key to winning was a grittier determination. Entirely surrounded by the demons, Achilles was too focused on tackling the enemies in his front, so he was unaware of the murderous intentions coming from his back. When Achilles was fighting valiantly with the Demons, his ankle, the only weakness he ever had, was shot by an arrow all of a sudden.
Achilles fell on the ground, getting weaker and weaker. The enemies grasped the chance to swamp him, removing the thorn in their side with no mercy. The fall of Achilles sapped the morale of the army. They never knew that “the Hero of Kleos” could be defeated. They were so scared that they dropped their weapons and took to their heels.
At the moment someone descended from the sky. He ns astopped beside Achilles, knelt and whispered into his ears.
- Apollo, God of the Sun: We’ve already been fed up with your superiority...
- Apollo, God of the Sun: I sent you my prophet to warn you against your arrogance,
- Apollo, God of the Sun: yet you get more haughty...
- Apollo, God of the Sun: Don’t forget, Humans can never rival Demons without the blessing of Gods!
When Achilles was on his deathbed, he saw the Demons slaughtering his comrades, yet he could do nothing but grit his teeth. He hated the Gods, as they had deprived him of his pride and taken everything from him. He swore to himself.

【Beginning】
Without Achilles, the country was soon conquered by Demons. The city was then filled with cries of residents, who all became victims of the war... As he saw people massacred by the Demons and blamed him for the doom of the country, Achilles’ soul could never rest in peace and had been wandering on the battlefield for all the misfortune he had witnessed.
He bore a grudge inside which he had no way to release. Humans were just too feeble to fight against Gods. He had nowhere to return to. The battlefield was the most familiar place to him. The only way he could deceived himself that he was living was lingering over the battlefield.
Wandering aimlessly, Achilles could not tell where he had gone to. He witnessed wars all around, followed by the spirits of those who also could not rest...
- Spirit of Medic: How could I rest in peace when everyone’s moaning?
- Spirit of General: Hideous Demons! But the Gods are more hateful. They never offer help!
- Spirit of Hermit: Go to Hades the God of Underworld if you resent the way you’re treated!
- Spirit of Hermit: Rumors has it that wars have erupted among the Gods.
- Spirit of Hermit: If you promise to help Hades, he might lend you his power.
- Achilles: ‘Hades... the God of Underworld?’
Achilles followed the spirits to underworld. Countless spirits were there to meet Hades. Outside the gate, they were craving to see him, yet all fended off by the guard.
【Before Battles】
- The Underworld Guard: Back off. This is not where you should be.
- Achilles: No one can stop me. I must see Hades!
【End】
Someone emerged from the dark, looking closely at Achilles.
- Hades the God of Underworld: Hmm! Quite an impressive mortal, to be capable of coming here on your own.
- Hades the God of Underworld: Just tell me what you want.
- Achilles: Bring me back to life, give me the power so that I can be a match for the Gods.
- Hades the God of Underworld: This is interesting.
As Hades gathered dark elements in his hand, the purple mist was turned into a glass of wine. He handed Achilles the glass...
Driven by his stinging hatred, Achilles seized the glass and gulped the liquid down. He could feel a power stirring inside him, and all he wanted was to release it. Achilles left underworld hastily, paying no attention to Hades. He had only the desire of fighting in his mind, recalling the bloody battlefield he used to stay.
- Cerberus the Underworld Guard: ‘He might cause you trouble someday. Have you ever thought about that?’
- Hades the God of Underworld: There’s no reason he would. He’s not taking revenge on me, besides -
Hades cast his eyes over the river of wailing consisted of spirits of the deceased, reflecting Achilles’ life.

【Beginning】
After obtaining the power from Hades, Achilles craved even more for battles. He never cared who was on the battlefield. He considered anyone around his enemies, and both Human and Demons feared him. Even the Gods dared not to make a move on him recklessly. At the end of each battle, Achilles would set out for another. He knew that his mind was being devoured by something. It was his hatred to take revenge on the Gods that retained his sanity.
Another war had just come to an end. Achilles was surrounded by bodies that he could not tell whether they were Demons or Human. His armor was dyed red by the blood of both men and Demons for he had taken the lives of so many. Blood dripped from his sword, blossoming like flowers on the ground. Achilles did not even pant as the battle was barely a warm up for him. As he was about to leave, a demon general on his deathbed was murmuring.
- Demon General: It’s a shame... I thought I could join the siege of Holylight City...
- Demon General: But... I would die before I ever laid eyes on the place...
Achilles asked the general...
- Achilles: What is Holylight City?
- Demon General: It is a city built by men under the Gods’ order...
- Demon General: It’s a stronghold left by the Gods in the realm...
- Achilles: A stronghold left by the Gods, huh...?
The idea of vengeance was rekindled. The opportunity to take revenge on the Gods that he had been longing for finally arrived. Achilles was so excited when the idea of destroying Holylight City, the base built in the realm by men as ordered by the Gods, came to him. He could feel his blood and demonic power boiling within.
He thrust his blade into the general’s head. Just one pull, one toss, and the head was nowhere to be seen. Achilles licked his blade as he placed it beside his lips, and laughed insanely as he looked up the sky.
【Before Battles】
- Girl: He... Help!
- Villager: Please spare me my life!
- Achilles the Hero of Kleos: How dare you slaves of Gods beg for my mercy?
- Knight Captain: Stop! You spare not even the lives of the civilians!
- Knight Captain: Do you know what’s humanity?
- Achilles the Hero of Kleos: I know nothing but to kill!
【End】
The lock of the Holylight City gate never broke as the Saintly Knights kept coming all around, and the Griffin was just too strong... Though Achilles had joined the army of Demons in the operation of conquering Holylight City, yet the city was impregnable while countless deaths and injuries were caused among the Demons, so those who lived preferred not to fight and fled.
Though managed to survive, Achilles was injured to an extent. He knew that it would be foolish to stay in the fight. Achilles knew that a wise man would not fight when the odds were against him, and he could only retreat and prepare for a comeback. However, he didn’t return with empty-handed. He had grievously wounded griffin, which meant he had removed a great hindrance in the Demons’ conquest of Holylight City.

【Beginning】
It had been long since Achilles had met a country which could rival his brigade to such extent. No matter how many soldiers they had killed, a new reinforcement would emerge the next day. Achilles began to take notice of this country and started to become anticipative. The brigade sent that night was totally different than the soldiers he had confronted before... They had better equipment, and not to mention steadier steps. Achilles could not help laughing for that he had a feeling that he could fight to his heart’s desires.
- Mercenary Swordsman: Dart! This just won’t end!
- Mercenary spearman: No worries! Countless losers are still losers!
As the mercenaries were feeling pleased with themselves, a fiery figure approached from the fire. His aura of slaughter drew the attention of everyone on the battlefield. He was dragging a body behind and wielding a sword with a head pierced on its long blade. Both the bodies were members of the mercenaries.
- Mercenary spearman: Curse you! How dare you killed Jerry and George!
- Mercenary Swordsman: Hold on! No!
As the spearman saw his companions murdered, his anger overflowed from within, that he dashed without thinking. From Achilles’ aura, the swordsman could tell from his aura that this particular opponent was a far cry from the soldiers they had just taken down. He tried to stop his companion, but he just would not listen and had already closed in to Achilles.
Achilles did not take the spearman seriously. Easily he evaded all the spearman’s attacks. The spearman, tearing his hair out, was attacking recklessly and could do no harm on Achilles... In the blink of an eye, the spearman stopped, looking at his own waist to find a sword thrust inside him when he was not aware. The spearman fell on the ground as Achilles pulled out the sword. He then cast his eyes over the swordsman beside. Licking blood off the corner of his mouth, Achilles sprinted for him.
【Before Battles】
【Enemy Dialog】
- Felix the Cat Duke: Your power was given by the Gods, how come you’ve become a demon?
- Felix the Cat Duke: It’s getting interesting.
【End】
Though invincible, Achilles’ strength was meaningless if he could not hit his enemy. No matter how hard he tried he could never injure the agile Cat Duke, yet the Cake Duke could not hurt him either. The Cat Duke flipped backwards, pulling himself away from Achilles. He was no dumb that he knew that there was a gap between him and his opponent on strength.
- Felix the Cat Duke: It seems that your power as a god has denatured...
- Felix the Cat Duke: You were too eager to revenge and fight...
- Felix the Cat Duke: If things go on, you will lose your mind and character.
- Achilles: When the Gods set me up...
- Achilles: I’ve already lost them all!
As time elapsed, it became harder and harder for Achilles to suppress his desire to fight. With a never-aging body and an everlasting life, Achilles kept wandering on every battlefield... As a battle ended, he set off for another. Whenever there was war, there was Achilles. Those who survived from the battlefield raided by Achilles would always say...
- ???: The scarlet shadow took control of the battle, as if he was the deity of war.
- ???: He can cause you misery even if you’ve gained an upper hand,
- ???: yet he can also put forth victory when you are on the edge of defeat.
