【Beginning】
A bored group of children were counting stones scattered on the ground to kill time. They grabbed the stones and held them with their clothes, then once again they poured them on the ground. In this way they compared the size of their palms, as well as their strength. Apollo went to the children, and absorbed the light emitted by the stones mischievously, so that only a shadow could be seen.
Apollo: Light is the guardian of all creatures. It lights up everything on the world.
Apollo: So that they could be seen as countable independent beings.
Apollo: Thing should be differentiated.
Apollo: For instance Humans should not be compared with Gods.
Apollo words were incomprehensible to the children, who saw him a mad man. They ran away with a question mark in their mind and went on with their game. Apollo burst into laughter as he ordered the sun to set.
Long before the Gods came to the realm, the sun rose and fell randomly. Sometimes the sun would stayed in the sky for a few consecutive days and people could hardly fall asleep, while there were months when darkness remained, and people must struggle to survive in the deep cold nights.
Apollo is a blessing Gods granted Humans. In order to drain the power of the Elder Gods from the realm, the Gods must win over the Humans. Now the sun would rise and set properly and Apollo, who had previously been no different from a mortal, now had control over light. He was impatient to try out his ability.
【Before Battles】
Apollo: Light shows you the boundary of everything.
Apollo: It is the standard of right and wrong, and the origin of justice.
【Beginning】
As he could clearly identify right and wrong, Apollo had foresight to the extent of prophecy. Cassandra, the priestess with strongest bond with Apollo, succeeded this ability. In the town square, Cassandra would always enlighten humankind about their future.
Princess of Troy: The seeds of the war will be sowed here.
Princess of Troy: Selfishness of the Gods will lead Humans into civil war.
Princess of Troy: Invaders shall rise and the homeland of men will be destroyed.
Princess of Troy: Leave while you still can.
Princess of Troy: Go somewhere else to unite your power.
Princess of Troy: Guard every last piece of land we have.
People in the square were unconvinced.
Resident: You are worrying a little too much..
Resident: You are spreading fallacies to mislead the masses.
Resident: Why did Apollo pick her as his priestess?
Princess of Troy: Keep your sons and daughters alive for the sake of Humans.
Cassandra insisted on her belief and kept preaching to the people, yet this only led to the masses’ hatred of her. Woken from his nap on the sun wheel by the commotion in the square, Apollo descended and brought Cassandra to the skies.
【Enemy Dialog】
Apollo: There is a line between Humans and Gods, Cassandra.
Apollo: I let you know for I want you to keep your silence.
Princess of Troy: I am Human, God of the Sun.
Apollo: Everything remains unchanged no matter who you are.
Apollo: If it could be, it is not called a prophecy, but a forecast.
Apollo: You’re only making a rod for your own back.
【Beginning】
Apollo was lying on his wheel. Since night would never fall again, Apollo was always living in the days of boredom. In the air, yawning, he watched the battle between the God of Sea and the Goddess of Wisdom. He cared nothing about the war among Gods, as if all was predestined. All he did was staying out of it, lighting up the battlefield for the Gods according to when the sun should rise and set in the past.
The war among Gods would surely result in the destruction of the Human’s homeland someday. The realm of men was never the place for the Gods to settle down. Apollo knew that from the beginning. When Apollo’s younger sister, Artemis, visited him as Zeus’ emissary, he mercilessly killed the man behind her, to remove her emotional attachments to the realm of man. Hence, he took back Cassandra’s ability to prophesy and created an illusion that Humans were blessed, so things would not seem to be as worse as he had prophesied.
The war among Gods dragged on with little progress. Seeing his followers pursued by Artemis, Apollo decided to speed up the wheel of fortune. He decided to take part in the war to complete his mission in the realm as soon as possible.
【Enemy Dialog】
Poseidon, God of the Sea: Dear nephew, I don’t remember having offended you.
Apollo: Actually, I just want to add weight to the heavier side of the scale,
Apollo: so it would tilt sharp towards one side.
【After Battles】
Apollo: I’ll see you in heaven again. It doesn’t matter whether you win or not.
【Beginning】
Many years later, the war among Gods finally came to an end. Apollo saw the Demons that had been hiding in the realm emerged at a stretch during the war and rampaged across the villages of men. Though it was the first time they had revealed themselves, Apollo was already accustomed to their presence because of his premonitions. The Demons had used themselves as a medium to birth countless offspring scattered throughout the realm.
The Gods were exhausted after years of war. The winner could hardly protect Human from Demons. When the Gods retreated to heaven, it was the typically always indolent Apollo who resisted.
【Enemy Dialog】
Apollo: It’s time to go.
Witch of the Shadowy Night: Gods, the realm is ours.
Apollo: Yes, you did win at the end.
【After Battles】
Apollo: Forgive me. All I want is a few seconds.
Apollo: I won’t make it long.
【End】
Apollo cast the rest of the light onto the sky, leaving the last ray of light to Human.
Apollo: This is what the Gods owed the realm of man. It has nurtured us and we can never repay this debt. All we can do is blessing the realm with everlasting light.
